A few disorganized thoughts...

Another week has started.... And so the boring commute....
I need to go to my internship place by a bus+train+bus. If I get a connection, I reach there in 45min, else I reach there in 1.5hrs... Life in US withour car is too bad :(
Nothing compares to cheap rickshaws, PMT, locals and BEST....

Another philosophical post:
In life, we see many people who are lucky in one matter and unlucky in another. For example, somebody might be very rich, but has lost peace of mind. Somebody might be poor, but has peace of mind etc.

This leads to an observation: is it the case that sum of the happiness in everybody's life the same? May be, I am jumping to the conclusion too early and from too little evidence, but I think the sum of the happiness should be the same.

So, finally I am writing my first post on the blog. (Actually, Deepali has forced me to write the first post. :) )

So, here is some thought I feel very strongly about:
In life, one makes a number of decisions in a "greedy" fashion, the decision that is the best possible
at that particular time. For example, while applying to job, one chooses the best offer (workwise and moneywise).
While doing masters, one go to the highest ranked univ from which one has admit and aid etc.

However, it is not necessory that such greedy decisions will lead to an overall optimal decision sequence, just
like a greedy algorithm does not gurantee an overall optimal solution.

But, since we do not know what the long term effects of our decision are going to be, we are forced to live life
in a greedy fashion.
